The mountain is a dangerous place when it storms hard. When it does, the Ski Patrol is the reason you’re able to get up on the slopes at all. They’re easy to blame when you can’t get to your favourite pow stash right away but they’re ones that enable to get you there at all!

Shawn Beaudoin, a patroller on Whistler Mountain, gives us the answers we ask every pow day when we’re in line waiting for the lift to open to take us to the goods.

Why isn’t the alpine open?   Are they just up there skiing and laughing at us while we wait in line?   Why is that lift open before this one?  What hell are they waiting for!!?  We have the answers.
